JOB DESCRIPTION





You will lead the development and implementation of automation proof of concept (PoC) projects, transitioning them from initial concept to the "application ready" stage.



Your collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to drive successful project outcomes and integrate automation solutions seamlessly into existing processes.



Additionally, you will mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

WHAT TO EXPECT





You will play a crucial role in overseeing the full lifecycle of automation projects, from initial concept through to deployment and optimisation, ensuring they are scalable and ready for full deployment.



You will:

Develop and lead the execution of comprehensive automation strategies (ASRS, AGV/AMR, Robotics, AI) Continuously evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance automation capabilities Lead the development and implementation of automation Proof of Concept (PoC) projects, ensuring they are thoroughly tested and validated Transition PoC projects to "application ready" stage, ensuring they are scalable and ready for full deployment Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues that arise to ensure timely completion Lead training, coaching and mentoring initiatives to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of the GME-Logistics team Support the development and maintenance of automation standards, ensuring they are well-documented and communicated

Experience in developing and managing automation projects within a logistics or manufacturing environment Strong understanding of automation technologies and best practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise documentation and training materials Proficiency in using automation tools and software Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation Strategic and analytical thinking with a problem-solving mindset
