Key Responsibilities

Audit Leadership:
Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audits, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and ISAs.
Identify opportunities to improve audit process and increase efficiency.
Provide technical leadership in addressing complex audit issues and risk areas.
Client Relationships:
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic insights that extend beyond compliance.
Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries.
Build and nurture long term relationships with clients, ensuring trust and satisfaction.
Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and support the professional growth of the audit team.
Ensure efficient resource allocation for timely, high quality audit delivery.
Provide technical training and promote knowledge sharing.
Operational Excellence:
Monitor key performance metrics such as fee growth, utilisation and recoveries.
Ensure compliance to governance and risk management standards.
Collaborate with other service lines to deliver holistic client solutions.
Business Development and Strategic Collaboration:
Identify opportunities to expand audit services and attract new clients.
Play a key role in the firm's leadership, contributing to strategic growth initiatives.
What we are looking for:

Key Skills and Competencies:
Professionally qualified (e.g., ACA, ACCA) with significant experience in leading audit engagements.
Strong technical knowledge in UK GAAP, IFRS, ISAs.
Proven leadership ability to develop and inspire teams.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
A strategic mindset with a focus on collaboration and innovation.
Qualifications & Experience:
ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification.
Significant experience managing audit portfolios in a professional services firm (big 4 experience is not required; top 50 firm experience is highly valued).
Strong understanding of UK auditing standards and financial reporting.
