What you'll do
------------------
At Vodafone Business, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by promoting, maintaining, and enhancing a culture of effective and efficient financial and operational internal controls. Acting as a business partner for all stakeholders, you will ensure that our processes across various legal entities are robust and compliant.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring a strong level of compliance with the company's control framework and policies. This involves performing periodic risk assessment reviews, designing control activities, assessing their operating effectiveness, and monitoring remediation actions. By identifying and documenting control gaps and efficiency opportunities, you will support and periodically monitor the progress of remediation efforts to address and mitigate these gaps.
Your expertise will be essential in investigating and resolving any Balance Sheet and P&L impacts resulting from control weaknesses, ensuring that our accounting clarity improves month on month and that we report accurate financial figures. You will conduct audits on end-to-end processes to assure continued compliance and confirm that relevant and properly designed controls are in place to mitigate existing risks.
In addition, you will assist in managing, resolving, and reporting audit exceptions, following up on the implementation of management action plans to address identified control gaps. Staying updated on Group Accounting Policies, Group Policies, and organizational changes, you will assess their impact on controls and compliance levels.
As an expert in your field, you will provide valuable advice on relevant risks and controls driven by programs, projects, or other initiatives impacting Vodafone Business's control environment. You will prepare, update, and enhance the company's SOX and controls documentation and testing approach, using data analytics to increase effectiveness and efficiencies within processes and controls.
Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with process/control owners and department managers to develop, implement, monitor, and run Vodafone Business's compliance and internal control requirements. You will support Vodafone Business Finance teams in implementing and ensuring compliance with group policy requirements, such as Economic Sanctions, Data Privacy, and Business Continuity. Additionally, you will offer training and guidance to managers and process owners responsible for implementing and running key controls.
Finally, you will report and present the results of assurance work, as well as the progress on remediation actions, to senior management.
