The Institute of Education, Community and Society in Moray House School of Education and Sport is inviting applications for Associate Tutors to support the delivery of teaching, including supervising dissertations, for Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes.

We are seeking candidates with expertise in the following areas:

  • Developmental psychology of relevance to education
  • Neurodiversity
The Opportunity:

Each tutor will be offered a guaranteed minimum offer of hours to work with course organisers in a range of teaching related activities, including the delivery of workshops and tutorials, marking, and supervision, including placement supervision and assessment. There are a number of exciting opportunities across a range of subject areas in the Institute of Education, Community and Society and the School. Your skills and attributes for success:
  • A PhD (or equivalent) relevant to the teaching area, ideally in a subject related area.
  • Relevant classroom teaching and dissertation supervision experience, ideally in a subject area related to neurodiversity and developmental psychology in education.
  • Highly effective teaching communication skills, including the ability to explain concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Demonstrable critical, informed and scholarly capacity to engage with a range of teaching mediums, including virtual learning environments and online platforms.
