Job Title Associate, Proposal Management - I&TS Global Client Coverage (London)
What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high quality written proposal submissions which reinforce and increase the success rate of the business development activities of RBC Investor & Treasury Services (RBC I&TS). You will work as part of RBC I&TS\xe2\x80\x99 Proposal Management team, providing solid technical writing expertise which accurately and positively positions RBC I&TS\xe2\x80\x99 capabilities versus its competitors, through proposals, RFPs and presentations for:
New business opportunities with prospects;
Cross-sell opportunities with existing clients;
Client retention requirements, including due diligence requests where required;
Consultant education requirements.
In addition, you will be working directly with the global Proposal Management team, broader Client Coverage team, Marketing team, Product and Client Experience teams, Client Operations and Technology teams within RBC I&TS, and across other RBC divisions as appropriate, to develop accurate, well-positioned narratives with consistent tone of voice and clear visual brand alignment across all client-facing content.
What will you do?
Participate in sales / product campaigns, and maintain \xe2\x80\x98go-to-market\xe2\x80\x99 pitch deck and database changes.
Review and analyse client proposals to determine key project requirements.
Generate initial draft using content database and other sources. Solicit and coordinate timely input from relevant subject matter experts where appropriate.
Interface with Client Coverage to ensure responses meet client / prospect / consultant requirements, reflecting RBC I&TS\xe2\x80\x99 strategic direction and providing consistency with respect to competitive positioning, tone of voice and visual brand standards.
Incorporate all information into presentable, professional, well written and highly competitive proposals which address client needs while highlighting RBC I&TS\xe2\x80\x99 organizational strengths.
Ensure all new responses are of the highest quality and are updated to the central database following curation and approval.
Coordinate with subject matter experts and Content Manager to update central database as new responses are curated and enhanced
Participate in sales/product campaigns, and maintain \xe2\x80\x98go-to-market\xe2\x80\x99 pitch decks and database changes
Prepare presentation material and participate alongside Client Coverage and Client Management in onsite due diligences and client sales meetings
Ensure the global Proposal Management team is aware, and has access to, frequently used supporting materials e.g. product fact sheets, stock appendices.
Monitor and research general industry, regulatory, macroeconomic and fintech trends in order to clearly position RBC I&TS as the intelligent asset servicing provider of choice.
Track, analyse and assess the effectiveness of the proposal and business development activities being undertaken by RBC I&TS\xe2\x80\x99 competitors to support continual enhancement of our outputs.
Provide coaching and mentoring support to Proposal Management and Due Diligence Analysts , GRPs and SIPs where applicable, instilling a high performance culture focused on delivering output of exceptional quality
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
BA or BSc in business, or other relevant degree.
Sound knowledge of the financial services and securities industry.
Extensive experience in curating and delivering compelling and articulate written proposal submissions.
Demonstrated at conducting appropriate market and industry research and synthesizing findings to support and enhance written arguments.
Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Nice-to-have
MBA, CFA or post-graduate in business or finance.
Proven curiosity regarding fintech and evolving investment industry trends.
Experience using Qvidian database.
Publishing experience.
Fluent in French language.
