ASSOCIATE HR CONSULTANT \xe2\x80\x93 ENTRY LEVEL

As an Associate HR consultant, you will work closely with key members of the Think People Team to support our clients when unexpected issues arise and will also work strategically with them to improve the efficiency of their HR function, teams, and whole organisation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Outsourced HR sometimes replaces the need for an in-house HR function. We support less experienced or smaller HR teams upskill and upscale, and sometimes we take over the grunt-work to free up in-house HR professionals to focus on more strategic priorities.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Bring new thinking to our client organisations to allow the development of their HR function, support best practices, develop successful leaders, and add value.
  • Build long-term, lasting relationships to become a trusted advisor, supporting clients through challenges and opportunities.
  • Business development, including networking and involvement in commercial activities to develop and market our services to new and existing clients.
  • The design, development, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and processes that provide up-to-date and best practice foundations for day-to-day people management.
  • Provision of onsite support to clients on a full range of HR functions including disciplinary, grievances, and other employee-related issues.
  • Advise and provide hands-on support in respect of Employee Relations matters, including, for not limited to, disciplinary, grievance, dignity at work, bullying and harassment, appeals.
  • Advise and provide hands-on support with respect to organisational reviews, reorganisations, redundancy programme implementation, and job evaluations.
  • Advise, design, and support recruitment and selection processes relevant to client needs.

ABOUT YOU

You will be:

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
  • 3rd level education in a HR, Law, or Business-related subject or a minimum 1-year relevant experience as a HR professional, with good technical HR knowledge and evidence of supporting HR projects and on-the-ground support.
  • Proven ability to take ownership to support and manage projects to their conclusion that meet deadlines and are within budget.
  • Understanding of the complexities of Employee Relations cases
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the key responsibilities of the role as outlined in \xe2\x80\x98About the Role\xe2\x80\x99
  • Good understanding of NI employment law
  • A driving license with the ability to travel to client sites across NI, RoI, and the UK when necessary.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA
  • Associate member of CIPD.
  • Minimum 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 relevant experience as a HR generalist, with strong technical HR knowledge and evidence of delivering HR projects and on-the-ground support.
  • Qualification and experience in mediation.
  • Experience in a consultancy or similar environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of ROI and GB employment law.

Location: Belfast \xe2\x80\x93 Hybrid working is available but must be able to travel to client meetings in our Belfast office and on client sites.
