Role: Associate (Fire Consultancy)

Location: Leeds or Sheffield office

Sector: Property, Construction & Engineering

Salary: Up to \xc2\xa375,000 + bonus scheme + car allowance + excellent benefits package

Carriera has partnered with one of the UK\'s leading construction and engineering consultancies who are recruiting for an Associate to be part of the senior management team and lead and develop their fire consultancy department out of their Yorkshire offices (Sheffield or Leeds).

Our client has a rich history with 13 offices across the UK, boasting a headcount of 1500+ employees where they offer a range of professional services to their clients throughout the built environment.

The Yorkshire team turnsover \xc2\xa31.5 per annum with aspirations to grow this to \xc2\xa33m - \xc2\xa34m by 2030. They offer a range of fire safety services including fire risk assessments, compartmentation surveys, reviewing fire strategies, project management of remedial works, and general fire compliance advice.

The business has key relationships across the UK with the MoD, Local Authorities/ Housing Associations, Universities & Colleges, Hotels, and Commercial organisations.

The ideal candidate would be an experienced Fire Engineer who has previous experience of managing a team of fire safety professionals (the team currently sits at 4 fire safety consultants and several Chartered Building Surveyors who focus on fire safety). They will have commercial responsibility for the department, expected to manage and deliver on commissions, along with develop new and existing client relationships and further develop and grow the business unit.

Requirements:

• Degree educated within fire engineering, structural engineering or related discipline.
• Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety/ CFPA Europe Diploma or equivalent (desirable).
• CEng, IEng or EngTech status or working towards (desirable).
• Membership to IFE (MIFireE).
• 5 - 10 year\'s experience within a senior management position delivering fire engineering/ fire compliance services to clients.
• Previous managerial experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
