The US Market\xe2\x80\x99s Digital Health and Innovative Alliances (DH&IA) Team within Strategy and Commercial Operations (S&CO) supports the organization\xe2\x80\x99s focus on building innovative solutions with external companies through strategic collaborations.
The Associate Director, Product Owner - Digital Health & Innovative Alliances within the Team will be responsible for:
Working closely with DH&IA\xe2\x80\x99s Program Managers (both DH&IA Directors)
Creating a prioritized team backlog reflective of all DH&IA work and a rolling quarterly release plan for this work
Managing the team backlog(s) and prioritizing it based on change and evolving business needs in collaboration with the Scrum Master and Development Team
Making all work transparent to the team and Program Managers
Collaborating with DH&IA team members and other key stakeholders to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into team requirements that are captured in the backlog
As part of the Agile Work-Unit Hierarchy, defining the vision for the team\xe2\x80\x99s work in collaboration with Program Managers
Creating a roadmap for the team based on this vision
Ensuring ongoing data accuracy, integrity, and maintenance in team\xe2\x80\x99s backlog
Developing high-level tasks for task-driven teams, incorporating a definition of done
Driving value-based prioritization and estimation
Working closely with team to provide adequate transparency from high-level task to Epics to substantiate the delivery of value
Define sprint objectives and reinforce a goal-driven mindset within the team
Limit and/or prohibit context switching to low value work
Liaising with Program Managers and the team to deliver updates
Participating in Scrum meetings and sprints
This role will report into the Director of Digital Health and Innovative Alliances for S&CO.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor\'s degree required
Advanced degree preferred (e.g., MBA, MPH)
Required Experience and Skills:
6 years of professional work experience
2+ years of in-depth knowledge of Scrum Methodology and Agile for Business/Digital teams
1 year of work experience as a product owner
Product Owner Certification
Strong managerial skills, excellent verbal and written communication, internal negotiation, internal consulting, value maximization, strategic product vision planning and execution, and evidence-based management
Ability to work with large complex teams
Proven track record of successfully developing excellent products within deadlines
In-depth knowledge of value-based prioritization
Determining roadmaps for teams and managing daily goals and schedules to achieve high performance and meet project deadlines
Proficiency in the use of analytic tools and generating meaningful analytics and insights
Ability to context switch and manage concurrent priorities independently
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work in innovative \xe2\x80\x98white space\xe2\x80\x99, and a desire to drive innovation in a complex regulatory space
Demonstrated skills working in new ways to drive innovative solutions
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Certified Project Manager (PMP certified or certified in six sigma principles)
Business application of the agile framework (beyond software development)
Experience as an agile coach
Experience in Jira
