Standard Chartered Bank is looking for a UK- based individual to join Compliance Surveillance as an Associate Director, Macro Surveillance, Compliance Surv.

Job Summary

The successful candidate would be supporting the trade surveillance process for the applicable products within Macro product lines (FX Cash, FX Derivatives, Commodities and Rates). This includes the second-level review for alerts, provision of training and advice to surveillance analysts on escalations. Moreover, the candidate would support the surveillance lead for Macro and other stakeholders to continually enhance the surveillance programme.

Responsibilities include:

\xc2\xb7 Responsible for the execution of the control framework which underpins the Trade Surveillance process for Macro products e.g., Supervisory Reviews, Peer Reviews.

\xc2\xb7 Responsible for providing business support and subject matter expertise to the wider Compliance Surveillance function, including Surveillance Optimisation, Surveillance Analytics, Surveillance data and technology team.

\xc2\xb7 Responsible for providing expert level advice to Surveillance analysts within the Macro Compliance Surveillance team. Reviewing potential cases, and ensuring the accurate level of information is included within surveillance investigations i.e., detail, communications, trading activities etc.

\xc2\xb7 Responsible for the execution of training of surveillance enhancements relevant to the Macro product lines.

Our Ideal Candidate

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree

\xc2\xb7 A strong understanding of market abuse and relevant industry regulations, such as MAR and other relevant global regulations.

\xc2\xb7 Thorough understanding of Macro Products (FX Cash, FX Derivatives, Commodities and Rates) products and markets and understanding as to how market abuse may crystalize for these products.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to review and present complex information in a clear and concise manner (written and verbal)

\xc2\xb7 Ability to break down complex topics for the purpose of providing surveillance requirements across the organization.

\xc2\xb7 The candidate should be able to identify and articulate enhancements to process enhancements within surveillance.
