Lochside Dental Care is a well-established mixed NHS dental practice dedicated to providing high-quality dental care in a friendly and supportive environment. We were established in 2012 having relocated from Kirkintilloch to Cumbernauld. Our team of experienced professionals are passionate about patient care, and we pride ourselves on fostering a nurturing atmosphere for both our patients and staff. We currently have 3 dentists and a dental therapist and are looking to expand.
We are seeking a full-time Associate Dental Surgeon to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated, and committed to delivering excellent patient care while contributing to the team environment. You will have the opportunity to manage a diverse patient list and work with a variety of treatments in both NHS and private settings. While we have an NHS base we have a high uptake of private patients and patients wanting to convert to dental plans. We offer DPAS dental plans at the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality dental care to patients, including consultations, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Perform a range of dental procedures in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Build rapport with patients and ensure their comfort throughout their treatment journey.
- Collaborate with other team members, including therapists and dental nurses, to deliver comprehensive care and continually improve the practice.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuing education and training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent.
- Full registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) and a valid NHS VT performer number to enable a list number.
- Proven experience as a dental associate, preferably in a mixed practice setting. (Someone finishing VT would be considered. The practice was a long standing training practice and the principal is a VT Adviser.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and build strong relationships with patients and staff.
