Job overview




The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Trusts Data Modelling team in the following areas:


working with Clinical and Support Services to design, develop and support data structures enabling the design and build of technological reporting solutions and visualisations. Utilise knowledge of core data warehouse components including data loaders; datasets; data transformations; data mappings and lookups; and scheduled processes. Ensure that highly complex data sets are created and available to the trust through robust data load procedures which maximise the use of automated routines. Using enhanced technical skills to model data enabling the development of clinical and corporate reporting dashboards, to present data as business information that will assist managers in making strategic decisions, and help service managers to manage their services effectively based on the activity recorded in the Trust's clinical and non-clinical based systems which is processed by the data warehouse. ###

Main duties of the job




Assist with the technical design and development of data modelling solutions and work with wider BI team to ensure that the models are interpreted correctly and built using the most appropriate data sources to reflect business requirements.

Work with BI team to create and support automation of ETL routines for the extraction and processing of complex data from source database systems and text based data extracts where appropriate. Adapt existing processes to meet new requirements.

Assist with the development of clinical and corporate reporting dashboards, to present data as business information that will assist managers in making strategic decisions, and help service managers to manage their services effectively based on the activity reported in the Trust's clinical and non-clinical based systems that is processed by the data warehouse.

Assist with the creation and maintenance of technical specifications, including source to target mappings, in support of developments which can be interpreted by Data Warehouse developer or 3rd party supplier.

Assist with the creation and maintenance of reference data where required utilising process control and master data management principles across current system configurations and future developments.

Work with BI team and manage the effective roll-out of reporting visualisations and solutions working within CWP's standard hardware/software offering.
