Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Assistant Manager to support our warehouse operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient management of inventory, supervising staff, and optimising processes to enhance productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of supply chain management and warehouse systems, along with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities



Assist in managing daily warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Supervise and train warehouse staff, fostering a productive and collaborative work environment. Oversee shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate fulfilment of orders. Monitor inventory levels and assist in profit loss analysis to optimise stock management. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS) for effective logistics coordination. Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and other relevant documentation. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently as needed.

Skills



Proven experience in supervising teams within a warehouse or logistics environment. Strong knowledge of profit loss management principles. Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, as well as supply chain operations. Proficient in using systems such as AS400 and various warehouse management systems (WMS). Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to implement continuous improvement strategies effectively. Experience operating forklifts; relevant certifications are preferred but not mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: 22,880.00-36,392.59 per year
