As an Assistant Shift Manager you will assist in the management of the Irvine site operations on a shift by shift basis such that it is safe, complaint and meets business requirements. Provide Leadership for their Shift Site Emergency Response Team (ERT)

In this role you will\xe2\x80\xa6

  • Oversee all operations activities to ensure that required standards and procedures are understood and complied with
  • Be responsible for safe and complaint management of Shift Permit to Work (PTW) activities as per the SOP
  • Ensure adherence with shift production plans and standard ways of working, explaining all deviations using GPS metrics
  • Review batch documentation and EBR to ensure compliance and raise deviations as appropriate
  • Be responsible for coaching and training of the shift teams in process troubleshooting and plant understanding to ensure competency including GMP
  • Manage the shift emergency response team.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • HND/Degree qualification in appropriate discipline or significant process experience
  • Managing safety qualification and relevant process knowledge
  • Experience of training and coaching of operators in plant and process understanding
  • Influencing staff without direct line responsibility
  • Ability to effectively contribute to the proactive to the proactive maintenance planning process and to department project initiatives
  • Accountability for the PTW process on the plant, ensuring risk assessments for non-routine activity are carried out where required.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:
  • NEBOSH certification
  • MERP (Manufacturing Enterprise Resource Planning Solution) troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, Environmental Health and Safety and GPS
  • Being able to influence others and find resolutions under pressure
  • Excellent Communication skills with the ability to communicate to different audiences
  • Show resilience during periods of change and during complex problems.
