We\'re looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work on our HS2 jv in Central London

You\'ll be Responsible for :

  • Preparing enquiries, analysing tenders, negotiating and managing allocated sub-contractor accounts including orders, payments & final accounts in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assisting in the preparation and agreement of applications for payment.
  • Playing a key role in capturing, managing and communicating change on the project, cost capture, allocation of costs.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the Project Control Reporting including project cost & value / EVA reports, budgets and forecasts.
  • Reporting to QS when contractual notices and correspondence with both client and sub-contractors are seen to be necessary.
  • Assisting with the target cost maintenance and reporting, compilation and adjustment of the Project Budget / Target Cost.
  • Being proactive in self-development and professional qualification.
  • Carrying out sub-contractor performance reviews on allocated subcontractors.
  • Contributing to Value management / value engineering.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience working in a commercial admin role supporting a large commercial management team
  • Experience working on major projects
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Effective communicator
  • Able to manage own workload
  • Able to work in a high pressured environment
  • Highly proficient in IT systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to support multiple individuals
