Job overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 0.6 FTE Band 5 Assistant Psychologist in the Paediatric Neuropsychology Service at NUH, within the children\xe2\x80\x99s neurorehabilitation team.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who has a strong interest in the care and wellbeing of children with neurological conditions and injuries. The post holder will undertake baseline clinical neuropsychology assessments (children), link to schools and provide some support and brief interventions for children with an acquired brain injury and their parents/carers under the supervision of the clinical neuropsychologist. There may also be some opportunities to support with service and evaluation. Please be aware this post may close early due to large volumes of applications.
Main duties of the job The successful applicant will be welcomed to the Department of Clinical Psychology & Neuropsychology within the trust. Currently there are over 30 clinical psychologists, and assistant and trainee clinical psychologists working across a number of medical inpatient and outpatient services within the Trust including: Adult and Paediatric Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Neurorehabilitation Services, Stroke, NPH, Paediatrics, Burns, Cystic Fibrosis, Oncology, Cleft Lip and Palate, Major Trauma, Intensive Care, Renal and Haematology. We have excellent links with the University of Nottingham and regional Clinical Psychology Doctorate Courses.
