Working in AtkinsR\xc3\xa9alis business this role is based within our Utility Solutions Practice, which provides utility-based products and services to a wide range of clients.
The role will be based in our Bristol office in the long term, and during the onboarding process, the role will require attendance in our office for training purposes. AtkinsR\xc3\xa9alis advocate agile and flexible working, therefore the successful candidate will work between the office and home, depending on the requirements of the team, our clients and also the individual.
To support our growing team, an Assistant Project Manager is required to help manage a variety of tasks in the project delivery lifecycle of digital, utility-based solutions to our client base. The successful candidate will be a motivated, innovative, and committed individual with a keen eye for detail.
Assistant Project Managers will be responsible for activities including:
Managing work packages under the guidance of a Project or Programme Manager.
Supporting the project team in the successful delivery of the project.
Assist in the setting of objectives and defining tasks for the project team.
Assisting in the management of the project in order to meet cost, programme and quality objectives.
Facilitating communication, co-ordination, and information flow with the Client and within the project team.
Assembling the project delivery programme and delivery plans; providing project reports on a regular basis to convey project progress.
Identifying, escalating, and managing any matters that could pose a risk to the project.
Being involved in closing out the project on completion.
Requirements:
Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills both verbal and written.
A hard working and flexible individual, with a willingness to learn.
Ability to manage and motivate a team and demonstrate good leadership potential.
Demonstrate involvement and experience of managing small and medium sized projects to time, cost and quality objectives.
Market sector experience in one or more of Water Infrastructure, Transportation, Aviation, Defence Infrastructure, Energy and Urban Development projects.
Familiarity with Scope Definition papers, Project Execution Plans, Risk Registers, Change Control Logs and Client & Stakeholder Management plans.
