Salary:
Up to 45,000 depending on skills & experience
What you'll be doing:
Provide value-adding and robust financial support to the project team
Produce and develop reports to meet business requirements
Support resolution of project financial issues
Produce, promote and monitor of supporting process instructions
Support continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor financial performance, providing independent and robust financial challenge
Ensure consistency and accuracy of data provided to customers
Coaching non-finance employees on financial reports
Preparation of Summary Status Reports
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Project accounting experience
Awareness of MoD Accounting/Contracting requirements
Knowledge of Project Lifecycle Management (LCM) Process
Business Systems experience (SAP/BPC)
Finance Governance requirements including Financial Controls Framework
Desirable:
Part qualified accountant or qualified by experience within a project environment

The FMSP Project Finance Team:
The team provides comprehensive project accounting support to the Mod Future Maritime Support Programme. This role supports the short term fleet time engineering and capital insertion activities which form part of the FMSP contract. This involves regular meetings with the Mod customer articulating the financial position for each activity.
