We are looking for someone to help in the summer term until August in our busy setting to start as soon as possible a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in early childhood education. As a Play Worker, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children to play and learn. Your role will involve managing activities, promoting social skills, and ensuring the well-being of all children in your care.
Responsibilities
Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety at all times.
Help plan and organise age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging them to express themselves and develop their skills.
Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a supportive team environment.
Experience
Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable.
Ability to manage groups of children effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Experience working in a nursery or similar setting is an advantage.
A genuine love for working with children and the ability to inspire them through play.
