Assistant Patient Care Coordinator (APCC)



We are looking for friendly, organised, and motivated individuals to join SCVC as

Assistant Patient Care Coordinators (APCCs)

. This is a fantastic opportunity to be trained in all aspects of cardiac test delivery and management, working alongside our experienced Patient Care Coordinators (PCCs).

About the Role


As an APCC, you will support the smooth and efficient running of our clinical services. You will be the first point of contact for many of our patients and play a vital role in their care journey. This is a customer-facing, multi-skilled role that offers hands-on experience in healthcare administration.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities



Reception duties: greeting and welcoming patients, offering refreshments and assistance where needed Checking patients in on clinic lists and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete (e.g. registration forms, insurance details, medication lists) Answering telephone calls and handling or forwarding messages via email Generating and sending invoices using Xero accounting software Booking and scheduling outpatient appointments and investigations in coordination with PCCs and secretarial staff Preparing clinic rooms for doctors, ensuring paperwork and clinic lists are ready, and restocking supplies as needed Scanning, processing, and forwarding incoming paper documents, emails, and faxes Providing basic hospitality, including offering beverages and assistance to patients Taking card payments using card machines or virtual terminals Performing general office and administrative duties

Working Hours


Shifts are scheduled Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 20:00 on a rotational basis.

Training & Development


Full training will be provided. APCCs who demonstrate skill and initiative will be well-placed to apply for Patient Care Coordinator roles as they become available.
