Job Summary


We are a 10 bedroom, busy pub and restaurant in the beautiful Peak District. We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Manager to join our team in a dynamic hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service. As an Assistant Manager, you will support the daily operations of our establishment, ensuring that both staff and customers have a positive experience. Whilst your role will involve supervising team members, overseeing the kitchen food production processes, and ensuring the high standards of food safety are maintained, this is definitely a hands on position.

Duties



Assist in the management of daily operations within the establishment, ensuring smooth service delivery. Supervise and support team members in their roles, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Oversee food preparation and production, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices in bartending, cellar management, food preparation, and customer service. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, aiming for satisfactory resolutions. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within all areas of the business, adhering to health and safety standards. Collaborate with management to implement strategies for improving service quality and operational efficiency. Working to promote the business with Social Media & Marketing skills.

Requirements



Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality sector is preferred. Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production. Experience in bartending and cellar management is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach. Good social media and some marketing skills advantageous. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required. Must be a driver with own transport due to our location A passion for the hospitality industry and commitment to delivering outstanding service.
