Assistant Management Accountant

Salary up to \xc2\xa338,000
My client, a modern , vibrant Law Firm in the centre of Leeds are recruiting an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join their team on a 12 Month FTC.
The ideal candidate will have plenty of accounting experience, ideally within the law sector (but not necessarily) and strong communication skills.
Main Duties:
- Monthly financial reporting for overseas offices, prepared on PowerPoint by compiling data from a variety of sources including our 3E accounting system and other internal reporting
- Preparation of monthly VAT returns for an overseas branch using Excel and data extracted from 3E
- Monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations for key general ledger accounts
- Assist in the production of quarterly management/year end accounts, including prepayments and bad debt provisions
- Final payment authorisations using online banking platforms
- Reconciliation and analysis of recharges to overseas offices
- Monthly and quarterly ONS reporting using data extracted from 3E and liaising with AP department
- Assisting with the year-end audit
- Assisting with UK and overseas tax returns
- Various ad-hoc reporting
- Cover for other team members
- Role will include working closely with the Management Accountant and wider finance team in Leeds
Skills Required:
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience and knowledge within a professional services environment would be advantageous but not essential
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Experience with 3E would be desirable but not a necessity
- Preferably qualified by experience
- Strong focus on customer service and responsiveness, including responding and solving problems effectively and in a timely manner to enquires.
