For our Assistant Legal Cashier role, we will be looking for you to have the following:
Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work well independently and within a team
Strong IT literacy (Excel, Outlook etc)
A desire to learn quickly and work hard in a fast-paced business
National 5 B (or above)/GCSE grade 6 (or above) in Maths and English
The following are also desirable:
Experience working in a busy office environment
A positive, can-do attitude
Previous accounts and/or legal cashiering experience/qualifications
Successful candidates will undertake the following duties:
Posting Client & Office account transactions to Practice Management Systems
Assist with Daily bank reconciliations
Bank payments (BACS & CHAPS) and transfers between accounts
Payment of professional disbursements in line with Accounts Rules
Develop knowledge of Law Society Accounts Rules.
Assisting with month end processes
Liaising with fee earners & support staff
Ad-hoc duties as required
