Summary of the role
University of Exeter Sport are recruiting for two exceptional individuals to join their team as an Assistant Hockey Coach with the opportunity to lead on the coaching of either the men's or women's 2nd teams, as part of our performance programme. The position also offers the opportunity to assist the Head of Hockey with delivery 1st team level. The University have invested significantly into their performance programmes and are looking for a dynamic, forward thinking and ambitious performance coach to join their team.
Key responsibilities include assisting on the planning and delivery of the university hockey performance programme, working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and coaching teams at BUCS and England Hockey League level.
The successful candidate will be required to deliver against the strategy for Sport and Physical Activity. You will support on the recruitment of talented players to the university and support individuals with their commitments at international level, liaising with external coaching staff and key personnel as required. You will also lead on coaching our 2nd teams whilst supporting 1st teams. You will possess a minimum of UKCC Level 2 (or equivalent coaching qualification).
Two part time posts are available from August 2025. There are other opportunities available to coach within our England Hockey Talent Academy and/or programme administrative tasks that would attract an additional payment.
