2. Milked 2x a day through a 32-point parlour with ADF, auto ID and separation
3. The herd block calve in the summer and average 10,000 litres
4. Technology such as Cow Manager and Uniform is available to assist with the herd management.
5. The dairy herd forms a part of a 220-hectare mixed enterprise farm, with all grass and maize silage for the cows grown in house.The Job6. Regular milking - average of 7 days milking a fortnight
7. Calving cows; ensuring optimal cow and calf health by following best practice
8. Herd health management with the aid of Cow Manager
9. Youngstock care, feeding and monitoring growth
10. Parlour maintenance
11. AI and foot trimming experience is preferable, but training will/can be provided.
12. Ability to work on their own and as part of a teamThe Package1. A starting salary of between xc2xa332,000 and xc2xa335,000 depending on experience.
2. Accommodation will be included and provided by the farm; council tax will also be paid.
3. 80 days off per annumLocationThe unit is located in North-East Essex, 1 mile from Thorpe-le-Soken with an OFSTED rated good primary school and secondary school and an assortment of shops.
