Salary: \xc2\xa339,942.00 \xe2\x80\x93 \xc2\xa343,254.00 (Pro-Rata)

Job type: Part Time, 18 hours p/w, 12 month contract

The role:

We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as an Assistant Solicitor in our Employment Team in Joint Legal Services. Could you be who we are looking for?

About the team/Department you will be joining:

This role is within a small team advising South Wales Police and Gwent Police forces on all employment issues.

This is a part time, 18-hour pw maternity cover post for up to a 12 months\xe2\x80\x99 period.

We mainly work remotely and in our Bridgend office.

About the role and your key responsibilities:

You will:

• investigate and case-manage pre-action and issued employment claims against, and on behalf of, both Forces
• represent the Chief Constables at Court hearings and Tribunals
• draft, advise upon and manage general commercial and employment law issues.

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

You must have a sound understanding of the law and have knowledge and experience in the conduct and management of matters in employment law and employment tribunal claims.
