Two exciting opportunities have arisen to join the Tate Britain curatorial team in an Assistant Curator capacity.
Both roles have a focus on Modern British Art (1900-1980s): one will be primarily involved with the period 1900-1945 and the other, 1945-1990. You will assist and support the Curators to deliver exhibitions and collection displays; to research the 20th-century collection and potential acquisitions; and to write interpretation and summary texts.
We are looking for well-organised team-players with experience working with collections and exhibitions, able to multi-task, meet deadlines and pay close attention to detail.
You will possess particular knowledge of twentieth-century British Art in either the pre-1945 or post-1945 period, and will contribute to curatorial work on the collection of British art within a global context. We welcome candidates who can bring new and under-represented perspectives and voices into their work with exhibitions and the collection, particularly within the context of the legacies of colonialism, and ongoing racism and societal inequalities.
