Assistant, Cultural Property (MCP19)

Contract: Fixed term contract until November 2024, working 35 hours per week (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)

Salary: \xc2\xa326,096 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.

Location: Manchester or Birmingham (The role will be based at one of the office bases listed; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week)

The Museums and Cultural Property team has a range of national responsibilities. They support the strategic development of museums and work with the cultural sector in securing, sustaining, preserving, advocating for and enabling access to collections in support of Arts Council\xe2\x80\x99s Strategy, Let\'s Create.

If you were already in this role, here are some of the areas you would have been working in this week:

  • Assisting the effective running of the Museums and Cultural Property team and delivery of its statutory functions
  • Working with a specific function of the team on a day-to-day basis
  • Providing flexibility and capacity across the team to allow the effective deployment to other areas as required
  • Assisting with export licensing and the government indemnity scheme.
To succeed in this role, you will need relevant skills and experience. You will also need to be highly organised and have excellent attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities to meet tight deadlines. You will have good interpersonal and communication skills and the willingness to work collaboratively and contribute positively in a team environment.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll receive a salary of \xc2\xa326,096 per annum. Arts Council England provides world-class benefits. Some, not all, of our benefits can be found below:
