THE ROLE



(15 Month fixed-term contract)







We are looking for an Assistant Contributions Manager to cover maternity leave and to support the Smart Pension Master Trust Finance team as we develop and expand our processes and capabilities.


We're looking for a reliable team player, who understands member transactions and is keen to learn and grow, as we seek to professionalise, integrate and build a high performing finance function with-in a Fintech environment.

Reporting to the Pension Accountant, and supporting the Finance team, the Assistant Contributions Manager will be based in London with the ability to work from home on a hybrid basis.

What you will do:

Daily identification, processing and investing of contributions paid into the Trustee bank account Monthly reconciliation of all contributions received by bank transfer and direct debit Reconciliation of bank transfer payers accounts and ongoing management of approved payers Ongoing monitoring of exceptions, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to close in a timely manner, including any refunds of contributions Prepare journals in NetSuite, including payroll related journals Assist the finance team in the preparation of member payrolls and update relevant administration records, liaising with internal and third-party providers Cash management including the daily reconciliation of bank accounts Member unit reconciliations & un-allocated units reconciliations Assist with the preparation of the quarterly administration report by running monthly stats from both the contributions and exceptions logs Assist in the day-to-day running of the Master Trust finance functions Support Group Finance with billing relating to Employers paying contributions by bank transfer Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support system and process development, with Trustee requirements and fundamentally member experience in mind

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR



The skills, experience, and aptitudes we are looking for are listed below but please don't be discouraged from applying if you don't meet every single one of these criteria - having a 'can do' attitude is sometimes more important than being able to tick every box:




DB or DC pensions experience, or experience in a finance role Currently studying or looking to study AAT, ACCA or CIMA (not essential) Experience of Microsoft suite of products including Excel and experience of G-Suite an advantage A high level of diligence and attention to detail Strong time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines Proactive with a willingness to learn and a 'can do' attitude Strong communication with high amounts of energy and drive Experience in financial services or technology sectors is beneficial Netsuite and / or Tableau experience beneficial
