What You'll Be Doing
As our
Assistant Brand Manager
, you'll help shape and implement the growth strategy for Hartley's, supporting across the full marketing mix, from NPD to performance analysis to innovation. This is a hands-on role with real impact -- perfect for someone looking to stretch their skills in a fast-paced, collaborative FMCG environment.
Strategic Brand Support
Help craft the 3-year brand strategy and own elements of the brand plan
Use insights from data sources (e.g. Kantar, IRI) to make recommendations and track brand performance
Own and drive strategic projects through the business

Innovation & NPD
Monitor consumer trends and behaviours to identify new product opportunities
Write inspiring NPD briefs and contribute to the innovation pipeline
Support development of exciting new products that delight consumers and drive growth
Project Implementation
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects to a high standard
Ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with brand goals
Be a key connector across departments, helping everyone pull in the same direction
Marketing Planning & Retailer Engagement
Contribute to brand campaigns and marketing initiatives across multiple channels
Collaborate with agencies and external partners to deliver impactful activations
Present plans and innovations to retailers with passion and precision
P&L & Budget Management
Track and manage brand spend effectively
Analyse brand P&L and recommend ways to improve margin and profitability
What You'll Bring
?? Degree (2:1 or above) - ideally in Marketing or Business
?? 2+ years' experience in brand/marketing roles, preferably in FMCG
?? Highly organised with strong project management skills
?? Commercially savvy with a data-driven mindset
?? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
?? A self-starter who's happy working independently or in a team
?? Agile, resilient, and comfortable with change
?? Passionate about brand-building, innovation, and, of course, pudding!
