Assistant Accountant - Worksop - \xc2\xa325,000 - \xc2\xa329,000

Chase and Holland are excited to be working closely with an internationally recognised business who have been operating for over 100 years. We are helping them with the recruitment of an Assistant Accountant. This is a varied role with several dynamic responsibilities which will include working with journals along with working with management accounts. The ideal candidate will have worked in accounts before and will be looking to progress their skills. This role will offer study support to further the successful candidate\'s knowledge of accounts.

Assistant Accountant Responsibilities:

• Assist with the production of monthly management accounts
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasting
• Reconciliation and processing of invoices and charges
• Management of company credit cards
• Balance Sheet reconciliation
• Oversee and assist in the completion of bank reconciliations
• Ensure year end tax packs are produced
• Reconciliation of accounts within the company
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Assist in the preparation of Statutory Accounts
• Processing and posting journals
• Petty cash reconciliations
• Fixed asset management accounts

Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday with Hybrid working - 2 days office 3 home

Required Skills & Experience:

• Working towards or considering the prospect of completing a CIMA/ACCA qualification
• Able to communicate effectively through verbal and written means
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
• Previous knowledge of working in accounts of studying accounts would be seen to be highly advantageous
