Assistant Accountant
Job Description
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant for a growing business in Southampton. This is a permanent role with study support for ACCA or CIMA.
This role would be a great opportunity for someone who is ambitious and has the drive to complete the ACCA or CIMA qualification in the near future. Our client is seeking someone with plans to progress and they will support this individual with ever increasing responsibilities as they grow in confidence and work their way through exams.
The role would suit someone who is either AAT qualified, or at the final stages. Alternatively, a Finance & Accountancy or Business Administration Graduate with some experience would also be ideal, as would someone who is at the beginning of the ACCA/CIMA exams.
Starting responsibilities for the Assistant Accountant role will include the following:
Assist in preparing monthly accounts
Assist in preparing reports
Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
Accruals and Prepayments
Manage the Fixed Assets Register
Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
Assist year end close
