About the Role
We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join an already established finance team.
This role will play a key part in supporting the financial operations, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in an accounts department, excellent attention to detail, and strong analytical skills. We are looking for a driven, self-autonomous individual who is keen to make a difference.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Financial Controller with month-end processes.
Payroll processing
Maintain fixed asset register.
Responsible for bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist in liaising with auditors and supporting the year-end audit process.
Rebate postings and journals.
Process staff expenses.
Assist with ad hoc projects.
Person Specification:
At least 5 years' experience in an accounts department
Payroll experience highly desirable
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and high-quality work
Good numerical and analytical ability with experience in financial data analysis
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, adapting to business needs
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships both internally and externally.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
AAT qualification (desirable) or equivalent experience.
