Job Description
Are you an experienced accounts professional looking to step into a progressive finance role with a growing business in Newry?We're on the lookout for a detail-oriented and driven Accounts Technician or Part-Qualified Accountant to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to build on your existing experience and take ownership of key areas of the accounts function.Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Managing the sales ledger and ensuring timely invoicing & credit control
- Performing regular bank reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end duties, including accruals and prepayments
- Supporting the wider finance team and liaising with internal departments on finance matters
- 2+ years' experience in an accountxe2x80x99s role (Accounts Assistant, Technician, or similar)
- Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
- Proficiency in VAT, sales ledger, and bank reconciliation
- Exposure to month-end processes, including accruals and journals
- IATI qualified or currently studying ACA / ACCA / CIMA
- Candidates with strong experience but no formal qualifications will also be considered.
