Asset & Configuration Data Engineer- Resource Solutions - 3 months initially- Bristol (hybrid working)

The Opportunity:
The main mission of the data engineer is designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports data storage, processing, and retrieval in the context of IT Asset and Configuration Management. Work with large data sets and develop data pipelines that move data from source systems to CMDB, data lakes, and other data storage and processing systems.
The main mission of the Global Process owner is to define local operations and processes for IT Asset Management (inclusive Data Quality Management) and Configuration Management (incl. Master Data management). Define Processes, policies, governance, produce KPI\'s, provide a dashboard and ensure processes are properly implemented.

Key Responsibilities:
This interim Role is covering two job scopes, the priority is the Data Engineer activities below:

• Managing, optimizing, overseeing, and monitoring data retrieval, storage, and distribution.
• Developing, constructing, testing, and understanding architectures in the context of asset management in ServiceNow
• Aligning architecture with business needs
• Identifying ways to improve data quality, efficiency, and reliability
• Using large data sets to address business issues
• Preparing data for predictive and prescriptive modelling
• Find hidden patterns using data
• Identifying inconsistencies within the data

Global Process Owner (this is additional scope in a potential later phase of the engagement therefore the ideal candidate would have sufficient background/experience for the following):

• Lead the stream for a given process to define target process and onboard process users
• Create a community of process users
• Identify all tools used or needed by the process and ensure any necessary enhancements are taken into account
• Define KPIs for the process, complete baselining exercises, ensure all reporting is ready for BAU
• Ensure stakeholder alignment for all proposed changes
• Manage onboarding sessions and more focused training
• Complete any pilots as required
• Identify areas for efficiency gains to be implemented
• Focus on Software Asset Management, Workplace and Cloud

Key Skills/Experience:

• 5+ years\' experience in Software Asset Management as well as Workplace and Cloud Asset Management
• Expert in ServiceNow design and Datamodelling is mandatory
• 5+ years\' experience as a process owner within a large organisation
• Senior Experience in Process Design and Implementation; Capable of following and composing process and procedure documentation, training users in complex topics, and interacting positively with upper management
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and with minimal guidance. Excellent database and spreadsheet skills
• Able to analyse and present data to a wide audience
• Organise and run workshops with internal and external clients
• Wide breadth of technical understanding across all platforms
• Solid technical experience within service or operational environment
• ITIL4 certified
