SEND Teaching Assistant

Are you a Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity.

Career Teachers are currently for a teaching assistant (TA) to support a child in a year 2 class who has autism. The school is in the L10 area in Liverpool, this is a small mainstream school with a community atmosphere. As a TA you will be taking guidance form the class teacher and supporting the individual child with literacy, numeracy and skills. You may also be asked to record notes and liaise with the school SENCO.

Starts October on a long-term basis, hours are full-time, Monday to Friday 8:45am-15:10pm

Requirements:

• Hold a valid & recognised childcare qualification or equivalent. (Or have experience working with children ages 7-11 years old.)
• Be fully dedicated to the role and have a can-do attitude.
• Be genuinely committed to enhancing the educational and personal development of the child you are supporting and the rest of the class.
• Hold an enhance DBS or obtain one through Career Teachers.
• Knowledge or experience in autism is essential
