Job Description

If you are a Project Worker who is seeking additional ad-hoc work and have experience in working with vulnerable Children, then this role will be ideal for you. We are looking to recruit a temporary Project Worker who would be available to cover member of staff's annual leave, for a period of up to 6 weeks over a rolling year. You would need to undertake return home interviews with children who have been missing from home, this role will mainly be based in Darlington.


Ideal Candidates must have:




Qualification mandatory for practice, where applicable (NB: For staff having sole and direct access to children, young people and vulnerable adults, there is likely to be a future requirement for an NVQ3 level qualification) Awareness of factors impacting on and issues facing vulnerable children and young people and families (e. g. disadvantage, poverty, disability). Experience of direct work with children, young people and families. Ability to listen to and communicate effectively with children and young people. Knowledge of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

We work with children, young people and their families living in the Tees Valley area who experience difficulties and trauma in their lives. We are well established in the field of Child Sexual Abuse and related harms. Our service expertise spans over three decades. We work closely with key partners locally, regionally, and nationally. We are a victim led trauma informed service. We provide direct work with children and young people who are vulnerable, at risk or have experienced abuse. We also provide guidance and support to parents and carers. The focus of our work is to intervene to prevent and protect children and young people from being harmed and work in partnership with key services to safeguard. We provide bespoke therapeutic interventions, emotional and practical support alongside information and guidance to meet individual needs. Our specialist service provisionsinform good practice and influence change. We campaign on issues relating to our work locally, regionally, and nationally.
