Arts Coordinator

Position: Arts Coordinator

Location: Edgware, HA8 0DT

Salary: \xc2\xa327,000-\xc2\xa329,000 depending on experience

Hours: 40 hours a week role that operates via a rota. You will be required to do evening and weekend work as per the rota and on occasion you may be asked to be the Session Lead (full training will be provided).

Holidays: 33 days including bank holidays

About the role:

As Arts Coordinator you will lead on the planning and delivery of a varied, creative, dynamic and youth-focused arts programme. This will be delivered through four distinct spaces: an Arts and Crafts room; a Multimedia room; a Music room (including a recording studio); and a Performing Arts Studio.

You will work with sessional staff to ensure that these four spaces are well-used and well-maintained. You will also ensure that special projects/events that involve or require art/craft, performance, music/sound or multimedia are properly organised and arranged. Finally, you will be a part of the Delivery Team, helping to deliver our overall objectives as an organisation.

About you:

To be successful in the role of Arts Coordinator you will need to have experience of delivering arts activities to young people as well as the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience of working with young people aged 13 to 19 (up to 25 for those with additional needs)
  • Proven experience of engaging vulnerable, disengaged, or hard to reach young people
  • Experience of managing a staff team including volunteers
  • Organising and delivering a programme of youth work activities in an open access setting
  • Ability to motivate and engage staff, volunteers, and young people through sessional work
  • Strong commitment to young people and ability to engage and build positive relationships with disengaged young people
