Our department of Library & Cultural Services is seeking a dynamic Arts & Cultural Coordinator to join the team. In this position, you will work with staff and students to play a pivotal role in supporting arts and cultural performances and activities across the University, including our theatre, galleries, Manchester Poetry Library fostering a culture of public engagement.


About the Role:





As the Arts & Cultural Coordinator you will contribute to supporting students, academics and a wide range of partners, foster a positive work culture, and help shape a vibrant programme here at Manchester Metropolitan University.



Your responsibilities will include:


Ensure the professional delivery of high-quality arts and cultural performances and activities including, but not limited to, the University theatre, galleries, and Manchester Poetry Library. Be a proactive front of house manager and provide an excellent experience to stakeholders and customers. Engage with suppliers and partners, internal and external, to plan and deliver excellent arts and cultural activities. Provide effective and efficient administrative support including contracting for arts and cultural activities.

Has experience, interest and enthusiasm for working within an arts and cultural environment. Thrives in a fast-paced and inclusive environment. Is experienced in customer care, quality service and operational management. Possesses excellent management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Is passionate about promoting inclusive arts and cultural events.

Hybrid working is offered for this role, where you will be able to work a proportion of time on campus and a proportion remotely. We recognise the benefits and importance of an environment that supports flexible working and are open to conversations throughout the application process.
