Job Introduction

The Artist Relations and Awards Executive will support the Head of Artist Relations and Awards Manager in strategising and delivering key talent and award objectives, in a way that raises our creative and cultural reputation, with the aim of ensuring BBC Studios remains the home of the very best creative talent.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Business planning support:

  • Support the Head of Artist Relations with developing key talent annual plans to support BBC Studios objectives and positive talent experience at BBC Studios
  • Coordinate talent requests from BBCS business areas with own responsibility for delivering some projects on the slate
  • Create and manage upkeep of a BBC Studios talent database - ensuring records are comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date with asks and data protection principles
  • Maintain the BBC Studios Productions awards calendar and database, providing key calendar alerts and robust reporting data to business areas
  • Help to identify priority content for award submissions and assist with compiling supporting assets and vetting supporting statements
  • Support the Awards Manager with awards ticketing and seating for priority awards - taking ownership of certain ceremonies
Relationship management:
  • Effectively manage relationships with talent, talent reps, award bodies, industry partners and beyond to ensure the best possible representation of BBC Studios on an international level
  • Deal with adhoc talent requests and award queries in a flexible and timely manner. Balancing supporting talent\'s needs and feedback with delivering BBC Studios business objectives.
Event support and management:
  • Support the Head of Artist Relations with managing logistics and talent activities for BBCS marketing/comms/digital activities on the ground - i.e. photoshoots, press launches etc
  • Support the Awards Manager with industry programming events to engage voters - i.e. TV preview screenings and panel events
  • Work with the BBC Studios Events team to ensure all hospitality arrangements are in place - i.e. HMU/travel/accommodation
  • Ensure talent schedules and briefings are compiled and issued in a timely, comprehensive and collaborative manner
General:
  • Provide the Head of Artist Relations and Awards Manager with general administrative support and, where/when required, the Productions and Brands Communications team, including raising payment for department charges - i.e. talent costs, award entries and attendance & freelancer fee payments and purchase orders.
  • Deputise for the Head of Artist Relations and Awards Manager

  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment and support multiple stakeholders across multiple projects at one time
  • A personable approach and \'can-do\' attitude with a strong desire to make a positive impact
  • Confidence liaising effectively with a range of stakeholders, including at senior level
  • Diligent organisational efficiency and strong attention to detail, with solid Microsoft Office skills and an operational, delivery driven mindset
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, working in partnership with colleagues across multiple areas
  • Willing to admit to mistakes quickly and openly question values inconsistent with BBC Studios inclusive work culture
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends where event require
Desired
  • Experience with successful talent liaison and negotiation skills
  • Experience of award entry systems
  • Demonstratable understanding of TV production
  • Experience of working in or with PR/Comms and/or marketing functions
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with workflow programmes/CRM systems such as Monday and Salesforce
