Area to be covered: South Wales + HR, GL, OX and half of SY

Remuneration: \xc2\xa340,000-\xc2\xa345,000 + up to \xc2\xa34,200 Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager - Building Plastics will involve:

• Field sales position selling a manufactured range of building plastics for roofline, rainwater, and underground applications as well as PVC bath panels
• 70% of your time managing circa 90-95 customer (distributor) accounts, typically \xc2\xa350,000-\xc2\xa3250,000 turnover but largest is worth \xc2\xa33m
• Majority of customer accounts are builders merchants (incl. buying groups) and specialist plastic/ PVC suppliers
• Revenue responsibility for approx. \xc2\xa37.5m (area currently performing in line with budget expectations and is only available due to an upcoming retirement)
• 30% selling into national and regional housebuilders (new build), main contactors, installers and social housing providers
• Huge portfolio of products including; fascias, gutters, cladding systems, window trims, underground drainage, decking & room liner etc.

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Building Plastics with:

• Must have a proven track record of selling building products
• Ideally some allied building plastics experience such as; fascias, gutters, cladding systems, window trims, underground drainage, decking & room liner etc.
• Must have managed some distributor accounts; builders merchants (incl. buying groups), plumbers merchants or specialist plastic distributors
• Capable of being a \xe2\x80\x9csafe pair of hands\xe2\x80\x9d in respect of account managing existing customers, but also with new business development capability
• Driven, target focussed and a team player
• Analytical thinker
