Porchlight\xe2\x80\x99s homelessness services support some of the most vulnerable and excluded people in Kent. We make a difference to thousands of people\xe2\x80\x99s lives every year. This exciting role will oversee a team of managers responsible for our supported housing and homelessness prevention services. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our team, building on our excellent reputation and ensuring high quality service delivery. You will be confident in developing new services, identifying opportunities, and responding to changing needs within our local communities. You will be an excellent communicator and collaborator, building strategic relationships with stakeholders and partners to achieve the best possible outcomes for the people we support. As area manager, you will ensure continual review and development of services, making sure we can evidence the effectiveness and impact of our work. And you will work closely with our internal teams \xe2\x80\x93 including the team that gives our clients a voice in the charity \xe2\x80\x93 to design and deliver safe, quality services that meet people\xe2\x80\x99s needs effectively. This role requires:

• Leadership experience
• Strong influencing, relationship management and communication skills
• Experience of performance and risk management of complex services and contracts
• Strong strategic skills, with the ability to align and develop services to support the charity\xe2\x80\x99s ambitions and plans.
• A commitment to the values that underpin all of Porchlight\xe2\x80\x99s work.
• Experience of the housing and social care landscape will be helpful but we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for the right person and will invest in your professional development with ongoing training and learning opportunities.

Working Pattern: Part time, 30 hrs per week (working days to be discussed at interview) Contract: 1-year fixed term contract

Some are living on the streets, others need our support to prevent or resolve any issues that could put them at risk of homelessness.
