Job Overview



We are looking for a dedicated and detail-driven Factory Production Control technician to join our production team. Based within a structured Factory Production Control (FPC) environment, this role ensures our products consistently meet regulated standards.

You'll measure, monitor, and report on product and raw material performance, support physical type testing, and contribute to continuous improvement activities. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills in a supportive workplace.

Main Responsibilities



Measure products in line with the business's Factory Production Control requirements, ensuring compliance with BS EN 14509 and ISO 9001

Over time, identify trends and highlight areas for improvement

Gradually take responsibility for investigating defective incoming materials, reporting them through our ERP system (DMR), and communicating with suppliers as needed

Assist in preparing and analysing operational KPI data

Play a key role in product and process development trials

Maintain a clean, organised, and high-standard laboratory workspace

Gather accurate data to allow the team to modify and/or stop manufacturing and/or procurement for quality, environmental or health and safety related matters

Skills and Attributes



Strong analytical, mathematical, and technical skills.

Ability to interpret test data and understand material behaviour.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures.

Methodical, logical thinker with solid problem-solving ability.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Good organisation, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently.

Competent in Microsoft Office and statistical packages.

Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to quality and personal growth.

Qualifications / Experience



Minimum:

5 GCSEs at grades A-C including Maths, English, and Science. Desirable:

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering

STEM-related further education.

Experience in a laboratory or product testing environment.
