We are on the lookout for ambitious individuals to join our Costs & Debt Recovery Team as an Apprentice Legal Assistant. The successful candidate will provide administration support to the file handlers within the Costs and Debt Recovery Team in addition to the completion of apprenticeship.

Responsibilities



As an Apprentice Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for completion of tasks outlined in your apprenticeship.

Chasing Insurers and Solicitors for agreed sums, and response to Legal Bills.

Chasing the Court for return of Court documents.

Preparing bundles for Court Hearings.

Accurate recording of data received from parties within case management system.

Support with maximising the recovery of Winn Group Costs,

Report issues, problems and compliance breaches in a timely manner to the appropriate level of management.

Skills and Experience



Minimum of 5 GCSE's grades 4 or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English

Ability to plan and prioritise

High levels of accuracy and attention to detail

Resilience and ability to challenge appropriately

Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages

Ability to work under own initiative

Strong communication skills

Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

Experience of demonstrating effective teamworking within a commercial environment

Cooperative and flexible approach

Commitment to own personal development

: 17,140.50 based on 37.5 hours per week.

Working Hours



This role is Full Time based on 37.5 hours per week. The Working Pattern for this role is usually Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm. We are also fully office based in Byker, Newcastle.
