Cryptex Security installs, upgrades and maintains intruder alarm, CCTV, access control, audio visual, fire alarm and network systems and gives expert security advice for all types of premises in and around the London area. Cryptex are looking for a tenacious and organised individual who can remain calm and assured in pressurised situations.

We are currently looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic apprentice to join our team of installation and maintenance engineers.

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

Installing security systems to a high level (NSI standard). Liaising with customers in a polite and professional manner. Providing accurate notes about repairs and installations. Participating in the call-out rota as required Supporting the management team in delivery consistently high quality installations. Representing the company as professionally as possible. You will gain extensive knowledge of a variety of alarm, CCTV and access control systems.

We're looking for a tenacious and organised individual who can remain calm and assured in pressurised situations. Effective organisational skills and the ability to remain proactive will be crucial to your performance here at Cryptex, this includes time keeping and ensuring you have the correct equipment to complete the tasks at hand. Additionally, being friendly and approachable is fundamental to maintaining the strong relationship we have with our customers.



This position will be national minumum wage but could vary depending on qualifications.

Entry requirements

Hold a drivers licence and access to car Have experience in the industry or Electrical Installation qualifications

Successful applicants will undergo a DBS check in accordance with SSAIB regulations.



Training to be provided



Fire Emergency Security Systems Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.



Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training in block release at their Midlands Centre. You will attend centre one week every eight weeks.



You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gather any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.



You will be required to complete an annual assessment at the training centre and take part in any additional training courses that the company require you to complete.



The employer will mentor and coach you on the job. You will also shadow, learn and get involved in all aspects of Fire and Security alarms.



Things to consider



You will be required to travel to sites for your job role and attend the training centre every eight weeks. The apprenticeship is 36 months and therefore, full commitment is needed.
