Jock uses his wealth of knowledge and experience whilst working alongside his farming and butchery teams to produce what he considers to be world class, Galloway beef, Blackface Lamb and outdoor reared pork.

We have an exciting opportunity available for an Apprentice Butcher and are looking to employ a new and enthusiastic individual who shows a willingness to learn and develop their skills as a certified Butcher.
This position would be ideal for someone who is looking to learn new skills and knowledge whilst working and earning a wage. All SVQ assessments are done in store, certified by the Scottish Craft Butchers through their Craft Skills Scotland programme.
Full training will be given on site and is an excellent career for someone looking to become a skilled craft butcher within a well established, award winning butchers.
The Ideal Candidate:
Great customer service skills
Be aged 16 or over (due to licensing)
Be extremely passionate about food, local produce and customer satisfaction
A strong desire to learn new tasks
Is a team player
Has excellent attention to detail
A polite and professional manner
Good organisational and time management skills
Be willing to work a mixture of weekdays and weekends

Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cutting of various meats while adhering to food safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butchery area to ensure a safe working environment.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and fulfilling special requests.
Manage time effectively to meet production schedules and maintain efficiency in food preparation.
Collaborate with team members to enhance kitchen operations and improve overall service quality.
