Appointments Administrator



Office based in Central Croydon

Full Time/Part Time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday (day off negotiable); 1x 30 hours per week


We are seeking a reliable and organized Appointments Clerk to join our busy team within the NHS. This role will involve scheduling patient appointments, managing appointment diaries, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:



Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently, taking into account patient preferences, provider availability, and appointment durations. Manage and maintain appointment diaries, ensuring that all appointments are recorded and updated correctly. Respond to patient inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner. Coordinate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure smooth appointment scheduling and patient flow. Assist with the preparation of appointment letters and reminders. Contribute to the development and implementation of processes to improve the appointment scheduling process.

Essential Skills and Experience:



Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and patients. A commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
