The Role:

Join a prestigious financial services organization as an Applications Solutions Architect. This global leader in the commodities market offers exciting technological opportunities within their business. Operating on a hybrid working model, you will spend 2 days onsite in Moorgate.

The Responsibilities:

• Design and implement solutions aligned with the clients Architecture principles.
• Comprehend business strategies and requirements to develop necessary designs and plans that meet needs.
• Act as a point of liaison between project stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Work with IT Architecture to align solution designs with the wider roadmap and strategy.
• Monitor project scope to ensure solutions align with strategic vision and standards.
• Provide technical leadership to the Clearing, Post Trade, and Group IT Architecture functions.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes for a high-quality product platform.
• Maintain an understanding of how individual solutions fit into the broader organizational architecture.
• Stay updated on skills and mentor colleagues as requested.
• Produce relevant documentation in accordance with company standards.
• Contribute to Enterprise Architecture and Design principles and vendor selection.
• Play an active role in shaping IT strategy aligned with the companys overall strategy.

Financial Services experience is desirable.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in IT, computer science, software engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge of trading, clearing, settlement, and/or payment business processes and associated technologies.
• Experience in software development, distributed systems, messaging, object orientation, database solutions, web application development, security, and open-source technologies.
• Familiarity with architectural concepts, including microservices, low-latency systems, data architecture, APIs, and cloud services.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to comprehend business strategies and requirements, challenging assumptions to ensure project and solution satisfaction.
