As a Barclays Application Support, you will be a part of a team tasked with building knowledge of how technical strategies are defined to provide business solutions and be able to articulate changes that would be requited to reference data to support those strategies. You will also be providing incident resolution within the Tables and Reference Data Team.

What will you be doing?

• Providing input to understand and translate information technically into the specific specification of the UKBA mainframe system and a Customer and Risk mainframe system
• Understanding technical constraints of the live UKBA mainframe application as well as Customer and Risk mainframe system from a tables and reference point of view
• Running Speed to marker calls and translate the Business ask into references data changes that are required to support the business needs
• Translating the audit requirements into live scenario\xe2\x80\x99s that can be evidenced to meet the auditors requirements
• Providing incident resolution and indepth design tables and reference data changes
• Participating in technical discussions with the designers across the group on tables changes that are required and agree release slots with them
• Supporting Speed to market go live cycles and provide evidence to the business
• Supporting as required major incident calls clearly articulating what the issue is with the refrence data and provide resolution to resolve

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• In-Depth knowledge of a mainframe application within a major bank institution
• Extensive proven incident management experience of a mainframe application within a major bank institution
• In-depth knowledge of a Customer and Risk mainframe application within a major bank institution
• In-depth knowledge of the Speed to Market processes that allows the ability to launch new products quickly and easily

Skills that will help you in the role:

• BSc degree in relevant software engineering discipline, equivalent to UK 2nd class honours
• Extensive proven experience of DB2 and IMS tables structures
• Solid level of experience in IT Software development consisting of the following languages and technologies; DB2, IMS DB/DC & JCL
• Financial Services experience

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations.
