A great Formulator is able to maintain the fine balance between new technologies, commercial perspectives and ever changing regulations to evaluate and solve complex issues for the customer. Hybrid working is available for this role, however this person will be expected to regularly visit the office in South Wales for collaboration and team meetings so must be based within a reasonable distance.

Your day to day:

• Optimisation of both new and existing formulations for both feed and forage additives.
• Maintain technical relationships with both new and existing key suppliers.
• Work with procurement teams to make the best value for money ingredients based on their individual technical merits.
• Advise internal and external partners regarding knowledge of ingredients and nutrient evaluation.
• Implement and evaluate opportunities for purchasing new raw materials.
• Optimise nutritional requests and craft the best offer from a nutritional and commercial perspective.
• Solve complex issues both independently and collaboratively.
• Maintain understanding of regulatory requirements and limitations for key markets.

What do I need?

• Minimum BSc level qualification in Animal Nutrition or similar.
• Formulation experience is essential, ideally in premixes.
• Experience operating BestMix software.
• Excellent communication skills, able to work as part of a team.
• Driven and conscientious, passionate about nutrition.
