CK Group are recruiting for an Animal Health Monitoring Scientist to join a company on a permanent basis based in Yorkshire.

Location:
Grimston, Yorkshire
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform and be accountable for the completion assays within the companies Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Serology and Parasitology departments.
- Maintain the standards of practice in accordance with recognised criteria of industry professional bodies.
- Ensuring all aspects of Laboratory Services (including assay development, validation and sample analysis / reporting) are in accordance with Company and Customer expectations.
Education / work experience
- Hold a scientific degree in a related field. Bio-Medical, Bio-Veterinary and/or Veterinary qualification required.
- Operational experience in areas relevant for the position, resulting in strong working knowledge and confidence in laboratory best practice.
- Previous experience of performing microbiological culture techniques, ELISA, Multiplex Fluorometric Assays, IFA, HIA and PCR advantageous.
- Animal laboratories experience advantageous.
